FORMIMAR S.L. , becomes after the compilation and study of the cartography realized during 25 years by the last cartographer from Mallorca (Ramón Formiguera), who dedicated all those years to create historic maps following the tradition of the mallorcan cartographic school (Jafuda Cresques), just compared to the English and Italian schools.

The creation of FORMIMAR S.L.
, is the consequence of a hereditary interest for the cartography and old
maps ever found in the family, therefore the great compilation of antique
works and works not published before who comes out to the market by hand
of FORMIMAR S.L.

Ramón Ferrer de Sant Jordi i Truyols ( Formiguera), retired fly
pilot. dedicated great part of his life to the historic cartography of
the Balearic Islands, drawing maps of the Islands and dedicated to historical
important persons, as well drawings of the ships who navigated his loved
Mediterranean Sea. He created as well maps of different parts of Spain.
But the greatest part was dedicated to Fray Junipero Serra, a mallorcan
missionary and founder of the most important cities in California.
